Diagnostics & Electrical
A warning light tells you something is wrong. It doesn’t tell you what. We use dealer-level diagnostic tools and three decades of experience to trace faults to their root cause, not just read a code and guess at parts. Engine Repairs & Overhauls
Engine work is where experience matters most. We handle full and partial rebuilds, head gasket replacements, timing belt and chain services, and bottom-end work, all in-house with nothing sent out. This is the kind of work that separates a workshop from a parts-swapper. We measure, machine, and assemble to spec.

What's in a service?
Every car follows its own manufacturer schedule, but here's the difference between a minor and a major service in plain terms.
Minor service
Usually yearly or every 15,000 km
- Engine oil and oil filter replaced
- Fluid levels topped up (coolant, brake, power steering, washer)
- Air filter checked or replaced
- Battery and charging system checked
- Brakes, tyres and lights inspected
- Full safety inspection report
Major service
Usually every 2 years or 30,000 km
Everything in a minor service, plus:
- Fuel and cabin filters replaced as due
- Spark plugs replaced (petrol engines)
- Brake fluid and coolant flushed on schedule
- Belts, hoses and suspension checked in more depth
- Diagnostic scan for stored fault codes

Signs your car needs a look

A warning light on the dash
It could be minor or serious. A proper diagnostic scan finds the real cause before you spend on parts.

Service
You bring your vehicle in for a routine service. We do the scheduled work and run a full inspection.
Diagnose
The inspection picks up worn suspension, a slow brake leak, or a fault code. We explain what we found and what it means.
Repair
You approve the work, we fix it properly, and your vehicle leaves in better shape than it came in. No surprises on the invoice.
Most of the repairs we do started as a routine service that caught something early. That's the whole point of a proper inspection every time: small problems stay small, and you decide what gets fixed.

How often should I service my car?
As a rule of thumb, most manufacturers recommend a service every 15,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first. Your service book has the exact intervals for your car, or you can bring it in and we’ll tell you where it stands. Keeping to the schedule is also what keeps your warranty valid.
Will servicing my car at an independent workshop void my warranty?
No. Since South Africa’s Right to Repair guidelines came into effect in 2021, you can service your car at an accredited independent workshop like ours while it’s still under warranty without losing that warranty. We’re MIWA accredited, we follow the manufacturer’s schedule, fit the correct parts, and keep a full record of every service, so your warranty stays intact.
Do you give a quote before starting any work?
Always. We diagnose the problem first, then give you a clear quote. Nothing gets done until you’ve approved it, so the invoice never catches you off guard.
Do you charge for diagnostics?
Tracing a fault properly takes time and dealer-level equipment, so some diagnostic work carries a fee. We’ll always tell you upfront what it costs and what it covers before we start, never afterwards.
What parts do you use?
We fit parts that match your vehicle’s specification and the job in front of us, and we’ll tell you what we’re using and why. Using the correct, quality parts is also part of keeping your warranty valid.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. We stand behind what we do, and engine rebuild work carries a warranty. If something isn’t right after we’ve worked on your car, bring it back and we’ll put it right.
How long will my car take?
A routine service is usually a same-day job. Bigger work like engine, gearbox or clutch repairs takes longer, and we’ll give you a realistic timeline when you drop the car off.
